As most of you would have seen on the clubs Facebook page the club had an intruder in the early hours (03:30) of the 20/5/2025. He broke into one boat and wandered around the pontoons for several hours eventually hiding in Karl’s boat where he also stole a rod and reel. He was challenged by a club member whilst he was trying to get out of the club the next morning (08:35). He had a plausible excuse for his being in the club and he was let out, on checking the cctv we were able to see what he had been up to and take a snapshot of his image, which was put on the clubs Facebook page and within a couple of hours we had a name which was passed to the police. The incident was reported and a scenes of crime officer attended for fingerprints etc. I have no further updates at this moment in time.
Please note the clubs security is everyone’s responsibility, please keep the workshop door closed and ensure the gate is closed when you leave. If you spot something suspicious, please note the time as this can save hours of trawling through the CCTV
